🗺️ Trip Overview

Note: All travel will be accompanied by multiple guides and employees of the lodges

Day 1 – March 12 Arrive in Tanzania (JRO) and transfer to Legendary Lodge in Arusha. Relax in your villa on a coffee plantation, walk the grounds, and enjoy a gourmet dinner and meet your fellow travelers

Day 2 – March 13 After breakfast on the veranda savoring their private coffee, the motorcoach will pick us up for a morning drive to Chem Chem on the game conservation easement. After lunch and getting settled into your lodge, you will do several wheelchair distributions in a village nearby. Next up is an evening safari to meet the local animals from the safety of your land cruiser. Your special dinner awaits your return.

Day 3 – March 14 Breakfast may be served in the bush, then on to the county seat where a formal distribution of more than 60 wheelchairs will take place, with plenty of time for us to visit with the recipients. In the afternoon, we will visit with the Massai warrior tribe in their village and learn their customs. Later we can enjoy the pool, spa and wildlife at Chem Chem followed by dinner.

Day 4 – March 15 After breakfast, we will take a short drive to the nearby airport for a 45-minute flight to Masawa Kimaili , bordering the south Serengeti. The views are spectacular, and the camp will near the calving Wilderbeests and Zebras and other animals. We will visit a nearby school and enjoy the energy of the children

Day 5 – March 16 We will start the day with a early morning safari and optional balloon-ride. After a packed lunch we will distribute wheelchairs in several villages. We will return to the camp to relax and enjoy dinner

Day 6 – March 17 A private plane ride returns you to Arusha for a special wheelchair distribution in this thriving city, perhaps the largest of the trip. There will be time to visit a beautiful museum where all the art and carvings are for sale, from mementos to

magnificent paintings and sculptures. We can also find time for a coffee plantation tour. A very special dinner is planned to review the amazing week together

Day 7 – March 18 Transportation to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and assistance for departure. If flights are later in the day, there is plenty to do in and around the Legendary Lodge.

• Cancellations made 31 days or more before departure
  Eligible for a refund, minus any non-recoverable expenses already incurred by Chair the Love (such as lodging deposits, travel coordination, or pre-booked activities).
• Cancellations made within 30 days of departure
  Are non-refundable.

• Credited toward a future Chair the Love trip (must be used within 12 months and subject to availability), or
• Converted into a charitable donation to support future wheelchair recipients. If converted, we’ll provide a formal donation acknowledgement for tax purposes.
